Mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle - Luminous white waters

Navigators in the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Sargasso Sea area were surprised by luminous white water on many occasions. The water shone clearly in the darkness of the night filling the sailors with fear. Its origin was unknown or centuries and of course there were many theories, both earthly and divine. This phenomenon also surprised Christopher Columbus. Astronauts on the Apollo said it was even visible from far above the earth. To their surprise these luminous lights were the last part of the earth visible to them before they left the earth's atmosphere. There have been many other phenomena mentioned from around this area i.e. mysterious lights, flashes of fire, bundles of light rays and fire balls. In a time of extreme superstition any surprise like this in the middle of an empty ocean would fill a person with terror.
